The route from Nedešćina takes a winding road, mostly downhill through Eržišće and further to Kršan, where it connects to D64 road. In Vozilići, it continues on D66 road towards the fortified town of Plomin on a hill above the Plomin Bay. The vicinity of the Ferry Port Brestova – Porozina allows detour on the alternative (A1, A2, A3 and A4), island version of the Croatian Eurovelo 8 route. The main route leads on D66 road to the picturesque, medieval town on a cliff - Brseč. At the foot of Učka mountainsides, it passes through the scenic coastal towns of Moščenićka Draga and Medveja with long, pebble beaches. The mild Mediterranean climate, rich, diverse vegetation and good geographical position enabled the Kvarner Riviera to experience the continued growth in tourism at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The most famous destinations with numerous villas and summer residences from the times of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy are Lovran and Opatija. The Croatian Museum of Tourism is situated in the 170-year old villa in the Angiolina Park in Opatija. After the fishing village of Volosko and the Preluk Bay with a popular campsite, the route reaches the area of the city of Rijeka – 2020 European Capital of Culture. A ride through the city streets is an opportunity to get familiar with exceptionally rich cultural and industrial heritage of Rijeka, where the first world torpedo was produced and launched. Past the Railway and Bus Station, the waterfront in Rijeka - Riva is reached and the park next to the building of the Croatian National Theatre of Ivan pl. Zajc. It is definitely worth walking along the famous city promenade - Korzo, sightseeing the old town, visiting the Cathedral of St. Vitus (Croatian sv. Vida), the Trsat Castle (Croatian kaštel), the city market (Placa), the pier (Molo Longo) and some of the interesting and different museums and galleries.
